I love Professors Higa teaching style. He was enthusiastic and you can tell that he really cares about his students learning. He is super nice and approachable. Extremely accommodating. The test every Monday aren't really hard unless you don't study. I would most definitely take him again.
Professor Higa makes class super fun and engaging every single day. He is extremely (sometimes even overly) accommodating so even though this is a very easy class it does mean that you have to be disciplined and put your own work in if you want to improve in Portuguese since he will just let you put in whatever commitment you want.
Accelerating Beginning Portuguese with Prof. Rocha was a really great experience. The class is definitely fast-paced, and it's easy to fall behind a bit if you don't stay on track of your homework and assignments, but the lectures themselves were both very engaging and conducive to learning (a necessity for a course that meets 5 days a week). I would 100% take it again and would recommend it to anyone that is willing to dedicate a fair bit of time to Portuguese.

I love professor Fernando! He is a sweet person and an excellent professor. Tests are take-home and class lectures are mostly consist of students speaking in Portuguese. Homeworks can at times be a lot, with essays and practicing for short, in-class presentations, but they are very helpful to learning how to speak the language.
Mario is a great teacher he was always very excited and ready to make class fun. Even though class is everyday we only had one homework assignment a week and then a quiz every monday, so as long as you make it to most of the classes and head to language tables this class is not very hard. I think a very important part of why I liked this course so much was the TA Anita, she was really sweet and fun and she made the events and language tables really awesome. I think because her and the other students were all very cool and fun that definitely made this course more impactful to me.
