Prof. Considine is absolutely amazing. He's experienced in what he's teaching and got a special sense of humor. Class was incredibly chill and relaxing. Gradings were fair. Homework and quiz were really challenging for me but he's really open for help and office hours
This class is great for those who are not knowledgable in the basic of business. I learned a lot and enjoyed when we would work in teams, especially the simulations. This class is very lecture-based. The readings are not hard of a read and homework and exams are mainly based on the readings (not hard). Only downside is when it comes to excel practices, Professor Biswas does go very fast, but he always offers office hours if we need help. He also doesn't grade the practices based on perfection, which makes up for the fast-paced downside.

Perhaps the easiest class I have taken in my time at Middlebury however it is very much a "get what you put in" sort of class. You can sit back and coast through the semester and likely get an A/A- but you will likely not learn a thing. If you pay attention and actually try you will learn a ton of information that at least for me is very relevant down the line career wise.
This class was super interesting as it doesn't follow a typical liberal arts curriculum and helped me understand business on a broader scale. The homework was slightly overwhelming sometimes as someone with minimal knowledge but the grading was very forgiving.
Professor Biswas is very brilliant and a great person to talk to and learn from. His courses aren't very difficult or stressful which allows you to take in as much as you want and focus on the material without a lot of of pressure. You will get full credit for all of the assignments as long as you complete and put effort into it.
Professor Biswas is an amazing professor. He definitely cares about student's learning experience. The class grading is pretty easy, but he doesn't accept late work. The class is very project-based and there is a lot of group work. I would still recommend the course!
I found Professor Biswas's lectures very hard to understand. This course involved a lot of tedious excel work that he went over really quickly in class. Biswas has a background in consulting so the class has a heavy focus on that. We had few assignments but when we did the instructions were often unclear. You don't have to do the final project if you do all of the other assignments which is really nice.

I think the course is useful in real-life applications. However, the content sometimes can get very repetitive. We did some basic math stuff such as financial statements and other things, but we went through it very fast. The exam that we had to do was wayy harder than what we learnt but it did not pull down your grade at all.
I found the course helpful. I learned how to use excel and manipulate pivot tables It was interesting learning different aspects about how a business works and how marketing works. I thoroughly enjoyed the case studies and the group presentations we did.
I thought Biswas was an extremely good and interesting teacher. If you get the chance to sit down with him, you’ll realize he has such an amazing career path, from doctor to consultant. He does move at a fast pace on certain topics, but he explains everything you need about each sections. The grade in this class is effort based, meaning you kinda choose the grade you want to have. If you do extra work (which is not extremely hard) you can get an easy A. The course content itself is super interesting and definitely useful if trying to go into business or finance. Highly recommend

Bissau makes this class very easy to understand and gives a good introduction to consulting, which is what this course should be called. Lots of in class projects and work, and all outside of class work is manageable.
I had a great time in Professor Amitava Biswas class. It had a lot of homework assignments. However the grading is fair and the lectures are engaging if you enjoy business. I would suggest this class.
I enjoyed the material for the course and its comprehensiveness. It covers a lot of fields in business and did a good job of introducing them. Prof. Biswas is an amazing professor with rich practical experiences in the business field so definitely go to office hours and talk with him.
Professor Biswas is the most interesting professor I have had so far at Midd. He has worked in many fields from being a doctor to a consultant. He is also very enthusiastic about business, he genuinely wants to teach about business and is very smart. The course starts out easy, gets hard from weeks 4-6, then gets easy again. Even when it is hard, the workload is no more than 4-5 hours a week.

Biswas a good guy and is super smart/knowledgable, but the course is far below his pay grade and he's almost too advanced to teach it. He races through certain excel exercises and finance concepts while taking other concepts at a painstakingly slow pace. He's really great in a one-on-one setting, and a lot can be learned, but when the class is this easy, it disincentivizes any real effort from the teacher or the students.

I would definitely recommend this course for anyone interested in going into business, but if you aren't then this class will be extremely boring. Lecturers are fast-paced because he covers so many aspects. Lectures are mainly him talking to the students. Homework is graded by completion.
The course was interesting overall and I have learned some business concepts in this class, but I think most of these concepts covered in this class can be learned through self study. This class was effort-based, and the workload was not very intensive.
Class was relatively relaxed and provided a lot of information about how businesses work and develop. Considine was very nice throughout the semester. He offered a lot of help on problem sets and made his expectations clear.
Professor Biswas clearly has a lot of experience and knowledge in the Business field. He is also very nice, passionate, and grades based on effort. The class provides the most basic and foundational knowledge to business and enterprise. I would recommend it for anyone who does not have much of a background in business, otherwise it can be slightly boring. If you do all of the foundational homework and advanced ones, you're pretty much guaranteed an A.

I had a good time in this class, sometimes content would be confusing because he moves fast. Homework submission, in the beginning, is confusing but just know to complete all assignments. If you ask questions you'll be fine, do the homework even if you're confused, overall it's a pretty chill class.
