This class would be good if you are a classics major or enjoy actually reading Greek or Roman poetry, but if you're just trying to get philosophy credit, just take an easier class. It's very reading heavy and the reading is not that engaging and is difficult. Lectures are long, but discussions can be insightful. Grading is pretty fair, if you do the work you can pull out an A/B. There was one paper, a midterm, and final.

This course covers a few ancient comedies which can be a bit hard to read/understand but the professor takes time in lecture to break down the major points of each comedy. Lecture can be a bit boring but he will go over everything than you will be tested on. The exams are on the easier side but they do test specific knowledge about each play so you will have to read the plays and spend some time studying before the exams.

A very chill class for a CW credit. Professor Russi is a really nice guy and is super accommodating if you need an extension or anything like that. My only complaint was that the lectures didn't go into a whole lot of depth, but I can't fault him too much since the class is a 101.
