A very chill class for a CW credit. Professor Russi is a really nice guy and is super accommodating if you need an extension or anything like that. My only complaint was that the lectures didn't go into a whole lot of depth, but I can't fault him too much since the class is a 101.

I took this class to fulfill a CW, and it was alright. I appreciate that Prof Russi was very, very passionate about the readings, but the material did not resonate with me personally. I was also frustrated with the way he graded; he was very critical about my work, but relatively lax on the grading of my classmates. Overall, I thought the class was interesting, but the standards of grading were unclear.

CMLT0190 with Pavlos Sfyroeraslast month

I took this class to get a distribution requirement and I am glad I did. We read one play a week from different Greek and Roman playwrights, discussing half of the play on Monday and the second half Wednesday. Friday was discussion where up to three students would be selected (or volunteer if they had not led discussion to that point) to present an argument on a possible interpretation of an aspect of the play. Pavlos would also contribute to any given discussion. Bulk of the work in this course came from the one or two weeks you led discussion, and as long as you read the plays throughout the semester, reviewing for the final exam is made quite easy. Overall a fun class that shows the beginnings of the comedic genre.
