Christopher Starr is very enthusiastic about his course material and is a professor who can make boring content more interesting. He really wants you to participate, so even if you give him a half-baked thought, he can often help you complete it without embarrassing you.
Witkin is very passionate about classics, but the class was almost entirely lectures that were quiet dull to someone who was not very interested in the topic. He did not make classics accessible to people not already invested in the topic. It was a lot of reading and 2 blue book exams that took me 3+ hours each, but other than that the only major assignment was an essay (and weekly discussion posts).

701 is a marathon all the major works and authors of both Greek and Roman literature. Some heavy hitters are missing, and we spent less time than I would've liked on some books/plays. This course is perfect for becoming familiar with classical literature fast.
