Professor Wright's class required participation, small group work, and specific timelines for drafts/papers. She often posted inaccurate due dates in Canvas and mixed up assignments but overall had a positive experience in this class. She focused on the writing process and fleshing out drafts over a long period of time.

I loved professor Vila. He is such a passionate professor with so many stories and always has something interesting to say. I learned a lot about writing techniques and making my writing thoughtful and engaging. I really liked our writing prompts and I actually enjoyed the process of writing in this class. I always looked forward to class.

Combination of fiction and non-fictional readings helped develop rhetorical analysis (aim of this class). There is lots of class discussion and every other week an assignment due- half of the assignments can be reviewed and the better grade submitted. This is so good for improvement as it gives students more opportunities to polish their writing and analysis.
