Beginning French Part Two
Beginning French This course is a continuation of FREN 0101, dealing with more complex French. Oral skills are stressed and students participate in the French language table at lunch. This course does not fulfill the foreign language distribution requirement.
This is the continuation of 101. 101 and 102 together finish the textbook. However, 102 gets more intense as it's the only class that semester. Meeting times are prolonged, and times spent on homework are roughly doubled. You will be kept relatively busy while your friends go to the Snowbowl daily.
I think Peter is such a great person and professor! While the class itself sucked and was very hard and demanding (because it's J-Term French), Peter made it soooo engaging and fun. He would teach us slang, pop culture, and songs to complement what we would learn in the book. Be prepared for 2+ hours of homework every day, including weekends and very hard and long exams. overall while the class was miserable, Peter made us want to go to class every day and found fun ways to teach the subject. I would highly recommend him as a professor and I wish he could teach all of my future French courses. If you read this, thanks for everything Peter, you're a king!

What can I say! Peter Tarjanyi is one of the sweetest professors that you will ever meet. He is such a great guy and always is will to help his students figure out their problems and improve their skills. He really made me feel certain that I wanted to continue with the language.
