Prof. Khader is an excellent teacher—enthusiastic, clear, and supportive. Readings and films were engaging, workload was light, and grading fair. Discussions were thoughtful and valuable. Highly recommend this class for anyone interested in culture and politics.
I took this class as a continuation of Arabic 101. I had a ton of fun in Arabic 101 with Ustaadah Maryait, and so going into Arabic 102, I had high expectations, and she proved that she clearly knows what she is teaching, and her engagement and lovely care she shows in the class demonstrate she has a passion for the language.
Professor Ayoub creates a meaningful and tight-knit class environment in all of her classes. Arabic 202 was a large class (20 people), yet she cared about everyone's progress. While the homework is time-consuming, it really helps prepare you for quizzes. If you put time into this course, it will be incredibly rewarding.
