Ustaadha Maryait is such a kind and patient professor. She really cares about her students and goes out of her way to make Arabic feel approachable. I loved how she made class engaging by mixing different activities, such as listening to songs and doing short writing exercises. It kept things fresh and helped me actually use the language, rather than just memorizing grammar. The workload can be a bit heavy at times, but it’s manageable and definitely helps you improve. I would absolutely take another class with her.

Ustaadha Maryait is so kind and accomodating. I love her teaching style and how she tries to engage students with multiple different topics each class. We would listen to songs, hhave practice discussions, and write.

Ustaadha Maryait is a phenomenal professor. She's great at helping you understand foundational material and so compassionate. She has a lot of love for her students. Also, she had a couple classes on ammiye/ collloquial which I really liked, because its the way people actually communicate and not overly formal like fusha. she made arabic feel so much more approachable and was tuned into what the class needed, e.g. would slow down if she felt we weren't able to match the pace.
