Prof. Coulombe was a very knowledgeable and approachable teacher. Her content was very clear and laid out in a well-organized manner. She does include content that she writes on the board in tests so I would strongly recommend writing it down and keeping your notes organized. Weekly problem sets and three exams, very much worth your time!

This course was good for a seminar. Political science majors took it, which was weird because they didn't know regression and a big part of the class is analyzing regression tables from economists' papers. I think economics seminars are a weird structure in general because you read papers that are totally above everyone's heads. It was clear that the students were not understanding or trying to understand the really in the weeds parts of the papers.

I highly recommend taking Intro Macroeconomics with Professor Coloumbe. The course is very straightforward. There are weekly readings (non of which I did), a weekly problem set, two midterms, and a final exam. Professor Coloumbe's exams are very easy - you will get an A if you review the problem sets and the notes. There are never any trick questions. The lectures can be boring but are very straightforward, and you can skip two of them. Professor Coloumbe wants everyone to do well, and is always ready to meet at office hours or find a time to meet. She also works out your exam score for your grade by weighing the exams differently depending on how well you did (placing more weight on the ones you did better on.
