Overall this was a really nice experience over J term. As a STEM major, this class was a really nice change of pace and it really helped me take a deep dive into myself and really contemplate exactly why things are the way it is, and how one can cope. Originally, I took this class to get the CW credit done, but honestly, I would take this class again even if it were not a CW. Dr. G is amazing and I love that she genuinely cares about her students. The readings are about as one would expect for a J term class, but with one writing assignment a week, it wasnt too bad. We also did a lot of hands on contemplative practices in and out of the classroom, which was pretty fun too. Overall, this was one of my favorite classes I have taken at Middlebury.

Genie is a great teacher. She really cares about her student and the subject that she teaches. She ensures that her students learn from their mistakes so that they can improve upon them and become better students.

This course was a great preparation to and introduction to college level writing. It is particularly useful to international students who might find it hard to navigate writing assignments. It was amazing.
