Cihan Artunc
Artunc was my favorite professor this semester and made it clear that he was passionate about the subject and material he taught. The exams were very fair and while somewhat challenging were reasonable. Also nice he lets you drop 1/3 exams.
The class is required for the econ major. The class itself is pretty self explanatory and heavy conceptually and compared to micro which in my opinion is easier. The topics make sense and are applicable. The teacher has a huge impact on making it harder or easier. Specifically to Prof. Artunc, he's teaches fast pace and knows what he's talking about but isn't the greatest at actually teaching. They are lectures, so they feel long. Workload is decent, definitely manageable. He goes over a lot and the exams will have only a little of what he actually talked about sometimes so definitely study and do the readings outside of his lectures.

I really appreciated Artunc's energy - he was a challenging professor who moved at a fast pace but he cared deeply about what he was teaching and making himself available for his students. The weekly problem sets were not graded heavily, however, the exams were challenging. We had weekly quizzes in class (5 minutes or so) but were a good test to see if we had done the reading and maintained the information from previous lectures. However, he held his students to a high standard. His organization and passion makes me want to take another course with him again.
