Overall, I thought this macroeconomics class was a solid course. The material was taught clearly, and by the end of the semester I felt like I had a good understanding of the major concepts in macroeconomics. The professor did a good job explaining topics such as inflation, unemployment, GDP, monetary policy, fiscal policy, and economic growth, and the lectures generally made the material understandable even when the concepts were more complicated. The course was also fairly exam-heavy. A significant portion of the grade came from exams, so staying on top of the material throughout the semester was important. The exams were manageable if you consistently studied and understood the concepts, but they could be stressful because they had a big impact on the final grade.

Professor Craven possesses lots of information on Macro Economics however her passion for teaching at times lacked. Final grades were largely made up of test results. The tests were moderately difficult with averages between B and B+. I would recommend taking a different course unless one is very interested in macro economics and or needs to take the class as a major/minor requirement.

This course was good, not very interesting material but good to understand basics of macro econ. The course is not that demanding just make sure to keep up with coursework and study for exams. Pay attention in lectures.
