Alla Fil

This was a harder class for me, despite ending up with a good grade. She is very intense in class, cold calling and calling you out in front of the whole class if you are day dreaming for a second. However, she is also really nice and would bring food for our birthdays and stuff. She had a lot of assignments every week including essays and videos which got to be too much.

I enjoyed this class, and learned a lot. We had online homework every day, which included mostly grammar and vocabulary on Connect. Additionally, there were also essay and video assignments. While the workload was heavy, it was manageable after studying SPAN 101. Alla Fil was also a very thoughtful professor, and was more than accommodating with deadlines and extra help after class.

Alla was more than accommodating to student needs, and her lecturing style was very relaxed. She would ask questions in lecture and then present the answers or lead us to the answers most of the time. There was only one essay in the class, and a revision assignment of that essay.
