The study tour to NYC makes it worth it. Good for Jewish and non-Jewish students to learn together and ask questions that people might be too afraid to ask outside of the classroom. I loved the readings -- they are from books written within the last year, making them easy to digest and relatable. Sasson is accommodating and understanding.

Professor Povitz was very accommodating to me as I added her class late, and she got me caught up very quickly with the material. She was very tough on the citations for the notecards we had to do for the readings, but there were no tests, so it was definitely worth it. She is super passionate about the topic and a great person.

Professor Schine is truly a gem! One of the most amazing classes I've taken at Middlebury. It's a lot of time and energy, but it's worth every penny. You'd be lucky to have him if he ever comes back to teach a class or two. Just picking his brain about the small things is enlightening!
