Taking Italian at Middlebury has been awesome, super fun and the professors are all pretty good. But if you decide to take it, do it with Ilaria, she's genuinely the best and the most kind professor I've had at Middlebury!
This course was a true joy to take. Ilaria is by far my favorite professor, and anyone who has ever taken any class from her can no doubt imagine why. The class moves at a fast pace, but, thanks to Ilaria, never feels rushed; it actually feels very chill. Ilaria is extremely adept at explaining new concepts, and will always take time to make sure everyone understands what she is teaching. I hesitate to even use the word "lecture" to describe her explanations of new concepts, as she always did so in such an engaging fashion. Her presentations are interesting, as are the discussions she has us engage in every morning with the person sitting next to us. She is an extremely intelligent and sophisticated person, but also extraordinarily kind; it is always so fun to talk to her outside of class. I look forward to continue learning from her in the fall!

Ilaria is a great professor, she knows how to keep students engaged in the lesson and creates a comfortable environment for corrections and speaking. There are daily handouts and weekly quizzes that are great as long as you studying the material. Outside of that there is canvas work which can be done as many times as needed until mastery
Illaria is so kind and creates such a positive learning environment. She manages to make the class enjoyable every day and is very accommodating to all needs. There is enough work so that you learn, but not too much to be overwhelmed. Her grading is very easy and it is not difficult to do well.
Ilaria is truly the kindest woman in the state of Vermont. She is passionate about the subject and even more passionate about making sure that every student understands the material. I took a class with her for each of my first three semesters at Midd and she was absolutely incredible every day. She is terrific at teaching concepts and loves to help her students learn. Absolutely take any class you can with her because even if you hate the subject, she makes it so worth it.

Ilaria is an amazing professor who is very passionate about teaching Italian. She is very enthusiastic. There is daily homework every night but it is graded on completion. Quizzes and exams are relatively easy if you pay attention in class and grading is lenient.
Professor Brancoli-Busdraghi is by far the best teacher I have ever had. She genuinely cares about the content, and is more than happy to help her students review material they might have not fully understood. The course is not hard work, and if you do your homework every night you can easily pass with an A.
Illaria is not only the kindest professor I have ever met but the kindest human bar none. She turned a disaster semester into a success with her endless understanding and unwavering compassion. I would reccomend taking a class with her no matter what.
