Good J term class. Significant uptick in homework as compared to ITAL 0101 but that was to be expected since it was a J Term class. More presentations than first semester, but not too difficult or harshly graded.
Great class. Covered a lot of material that built off of italian 101 and 102. Lots of new concepts but constantly reviewed and were tested on in weekly exams that were straightforward and easy to do well on if you went to class. Attendance was key and important for reviewing the concepts enough to keep up with the work.
Beginning Italian I struck the rare balance of rigorous grammar instruction and genuine cultural immersion, leaving me not just able to conjugate verbs but eager to keep speaking the language outside of class.
