Prof. Ilaria is hands-down one the best at Middlebury. She creates an stress-free and welcoming environment, regardless of Italian ability. More importantly, she is an extremely effective professor and will get your Italian better in no time.

Quite literally, the best class I have taken at Middlebury. Sandra is a fantastic teacher, and I felt that this class made me actually enjoy reading. The books we read were excellent, and I learnt a lot about literature, food, culture, and community... 10/10 experience, wish I could retake this class.

Stefano is my favorite professor that I have had so far at Middlebury. He is really good at teaching the material and will go out of his way to work with students one on one to help them understand the course material if necessary. He is a super easy grader and I got an A in his class with minimal studying. The course is 5 days a week with 2 of the days being 75 minute classes and the rest 50 minutes, so it is a decent amount of time in lectures and there is homework every night. However, it usually consists of a canvas module and some reading which isn't that bad. There are exams every Friday, but there is always a short review session beforehand and you are able to ask questions during that time.
