This course was very lecture heavy as every class would just be note taking from the board. Most of the learning came from outside of class via tutorials and problem sets. TA hours were very helpful for these. The problem sets and exams tended to be difficult compared to problems we did in class. Lab was great and Rafa was the best.
This chemistry course guided me to master dimensional analysis. Although disposed to simple algebra, the course was a very basic introduction to chemistry. I took this course as opposed to attempting to place out of it because I did not understand how to approach the subject, and now after taking the course I have a better understanding of what the expectations of a college chemistry course is. I will also say that a huge advantage to taking this course is that you have priority in taking Chem 105 or General Chemistry. The course is overall light in work load, but the Professor expects that you study to ensure a strong understanding of how to perform dimensional analysis in different contexts.

While Organic chemistry is definitely a hard class, I really enjoyed the teaching style and the material. I found that this class compared to others was much more rewarding when everything eventually clicked
