Dr. Rahn is the best professor I've had at Middlebury. Super excited to teach and learn, very organized, taught everything in class making readings not really necessary. Weekly homework assignments and quizzes ensured you kept up with the material. Exams were very straightforward, and she allowed a reference sheet that you could write notes on. Wonderful class.
Good chemistry intro course which gave an overview of basic material. A lot of the course was doing practice problems on achieve which was "graded" but mainly just off of effort as well as exam(the bulk of your grade). Prof Bredar was super enthusiastic and always willing to meet extra if students needed.
Alex was a great professor, but the class itself was just poorly structured. It was entirely based on a textbook (which wasn't that great of a textbook to begin with), and while Alex and the TAs were always available to help with questions, there was so much busy work. I would definitely take another class with Alex, but Chem103 is just a class you take to get to other classes, and they're not even offering it anymore anyways.
