Shrestha is easily one of the worst chemistry teachers I have ever had. I am lucky I took chemistry in high school because I drew more from that information than I did from this class. She has no concept of how to properly explain material, and much of your time is spent teaching yourself the material.
For this being Professor Bredar's first class at Midd, I think she had a great attitude and she was very excited. She enjoys helping you one-on-one during office hours or TA hours. During lectures, it can be a very fast-paced class, and you can lose track of all the information that is being taught. There is a lot of coursework, such as worksheets and Achives, but everything helps you prepare for the Exams. As a poor test taker, I think the exams are nerve-wracking and difficult. If you are like me and do well on everything but the exams, you will still pass with a B on average.

Professor Repka is a very kind and approachable instructor who clearly cares about her students. She's always willing to help and is respectful and encouraging in class. However, if you're someone who relies heavily on lectures to understand material, this course may be challenging. The lectures are not very detailed, so you’ll likely find yourself doing most of the learning on your own outside of class. The SmartWork assignments can be time-consuming and sometimes feel disconnected from what’s covered in class. To succeed, you’ll need to be self-motivated and proactive in studying the textbook, reviewing practice problems, and seeking out extra help when needed. Overall, she creates a positive classroom environment, but be prepared to put in a lot of independent effort to truly grasp the content.
