Kira Rahn

Professor Rahn was super nice and the exams weren't as difficult as I expected. There were weekly online problem sets, but they were very manageable. Although I feel like the group work in class was a bit redundant, I still enjoyed taking the class.

I enjoyed the class and I especially enjoyed Prof. Rahn's energy that she brought to every class. I felt like each exam was easier than I expected, which was definitely a plus. She was super approachable and easy to get help from during office hours. Lab included difficult quizzes that were frustrating, but not impossible to deal with.

Professor Rahn is extremely passionate about chemistry and it definitely shows within this course. The readings are not too bad and honestly you don't really have to read them in depth as the lectures cover the same topics. Labs were really fun as well, but could be difficult to complete the lab notebook. Unfortunately, the topics for the first 7 or so weeks were basically just AP chem, which was a bit frustrating as someone who took AP chem. I think it would be difficult had you not taken it, but it was too easy if you did. I think they should split this course up; regardless, I had a good experience.
