The Anthropology of Religions course offers a thought-provoking and comprehensive exploration of religious belief systems through an anthropological lens. It examines how religion is embedded in social, cultural, political, and economic contexts around the world, encouraging students to move beyond Western-centric perspectives and assumptions.
This class was great. A reading and short discussion post was due before each class, which was then further discussed in class. Readings were interesting and not too lengthy. There were two papers and one presentation. Overall, really good class.
