Amanda Kaminsky
The content of this course was interesting. However, I don't think it was presented in the most digestible way. It was clear that Prof. Kaminsky is very knowledgeable and passionate however for someone who hadn't taken an anthro class before, this turned me away.
I was suprised to see that the only review on this course was a negative one. I really enjoyed Kaminsky's teaching style and the overall content of this course. It is actually what made me want to become a food studies minor. We focused a lot on food systems and farming and though I have never taken an anthro class, I would say aside from language used in the readings, we didn't use any anthro methods. The farm visits were fun. Overall chill, interesting, and insightful class that I would take again.

Took this class for J-Term, and safe to say I barely learned anything. I can barely tell you a couple months later what's one thing I learned. The prof didn't know what she was talking about sometimes, and offered no opinions during group discussion which made it seem pointless. We visited a deer farm though which was cool, and the homework is pretty chill/graded easily.
