Summer Jack

My experience in this course was not at ALL good and it is all thanks to the professor. Summer had a negative attitude that killed any sort of motivation I had for the class and sucked the joy out of doing the (incredibly easy) work/projects for the class that I was honestly looking forward to because I really enjoy drawing and designing. To say that I was let down would be a massive understatement. She was very condescending towards me in the way that she spoke, even when I was simply asking questions to clarify something about and assignment or a due date (which I often had a lot of because she was NEVER clear about things, in my opinion). She treated me like I was dumb, cutting me off before I could even finish my sentences sometimes. She was especially very rude and unprofessional towards me at the end of this semester when I emailed her asking about my attendance grade (which was lower than it should have been, considering I was at every class except for maybe two times when I wasn't feeling well) and told me that I was "wasting time" by "quibbling over attendance points." I had been frustrated with her attitude the whole semester, but that last email really did it for me. I could not believe she would speak to a student like that. It's really a shame that she's just a terrible person because otherwise I would have loved to recommend this class. So, thank you, Summer, for making me feel like garbage and ruining something I genuinely enjoyed.

This class is fun to take if you want to do drawings. Professor Jack can be kind of passive-aggressive sometimes, but it's not that big of a deal. There are 3 1000 word papers which I feel is excessive, but overall the class is light.

This is probably the most fun class I have and will ever take at MIDD. You end up learning a lot through the lectures and then there are fun hands-on activities after. The final project is really fun although it is a decent amount of work. I would definitely recommend this course.
