Steve Abbott
I think Abbot went about the course well. The material taught in the course is very interesting and opens up the world of mathematics. My recommendation is make sure to diligently keep on track with the material and you'll be fine. If you are thinking of taking this course for fun, don't (or prove me wrong and do it anyway).
90% of your grade in the class was exams and the other 10% was homework. There was a problem set before every class and they were rather long for it to only be worth 10% of your grade. Professor Abbott was is very passionate about what he teaches and has a great personality. However, you can easily get lost in class since he isn't the most organized when writing on the board.
Calc II is known for being extremely difficult, and I knew this going into the course, however, I think I even underestimated it. Professor Abbott is extremely passionate about the material and is very kind. He loves to tell stories about the mathematics which is engaging and I certainly laughed a lot in class. However, he doesn't really lecture and instead just sends students off to do problems without having taught material which is extremely difficult and frustrating. The class is no doubt difficult and I wish I could have had more understanding.
