Steve Abbott

Prof. Abbott really cares about you as a student. Problem sets usually take around 2 hours and are due 3 times a week. Work is manageable; go to office hours before exams and you will do alright. Lectures and group work consist the majority of class time.

I learned a lot in Professor Abbott's multivariable class! He is very nice, and always wants students to succeed. The exams are weighted very heavy, so you really need to be ready for exams to have a good grade in this class.

I found Multivariable Calculus to be an interesting course, and Professor Abbott was very enthusiastic, approachable, and helpful throughout the semester. However, I felt that having 90% of the grade based on exams made the course very difficult and stressful. There was also a significant amount of homework, but I did not feel that it was given enough weight in the final grade considering the time and effort required.
