This course was extremely difficult in how you had to absorb the materials very quickly. Each week, we had a problem set due at the end of the week. So throughout the semester, there was a total of 12 problem sets and each problem set took a decent amount of time. Furthermore, there are three exams, two midterms and a final. If I am being honest, the tests were brutal. However, if you put in the work, you should be able to get through it.

Steve is the BEST, I'm not a "math person" and calc definitely wasn't my best class, but he's always available for office hours and super accommodating of any student's needs. He loves math and forms close relationships with a lot of his students, super nice guy. Exams are pretty tough.

Prof. Abbot may be the best professor I have had at Middlebury so far. He is passionate about the material and teaches in a way that is intuitive and makes following what he is saying relatively easy. There is a homework grade, and 3 problem sets per week. As long as you do the problem sets and understand them this course should be nothing to worry about. As with most math courses, if you start to get behind, then it may become more difficult.
