Spring Ulmer
Spring was super understanding of my disability needs. The course was mostly chill whole-group discussion. We went over a novel, a poetry book, a video game and some documentary content as well as one or two smaller optional readings that were handed out. We wrote two papers, presented a whole-class project at the end of the term, and wrote a reflection for the final. It was clear that Spring was well-read and passionate about environmental racism and the content I learned felt super worthwhile.

This course was super interesting, engaging, and STRESS FREE. Spring is incredible and the texts we read were super interesting. The writing portion taught me a lot and was challenging creativity but felt low pressure overall. This class is definitely for beginner writers.
Spring is the most loving and passionate professor I've ever encountered. Her discussion-based classes are truly interesting and enjoyable, and they feel like a safe space to share thoughts, struggles and opinions. The readings are crude and expose a reality about Environmental Racism that I have never read about before. I would highly recommend taking this class.
