Peter Matthews

Professor Matthews is extremely passionate about the content that he teaches and uses current events in order to effectively explain concepts. He cold-calls, but provides guidance when a student is unsure of the answer. He is always willing to answer questions in class and wants his students to learn the material and perform well.

I had a great time in macro with Professor Matthews. What I really appreciated about Professor Matthews and his teaching was his connections to real-world topics. We’d typically assess modern case studies/projects in our “discussion” section, such as the connection between developing economies and climate change/fossil fuel use. Would highly recommend this class with Prof. M.

I took with Peter Matthews. Really nice teacher and can tell that he is passionate about work. He lets you drop your lowest quiz which is nice because you can go home early if you dont need it. He grades relatively easy, but goes over the class time relatively often. Cold calls
