Peter Matthews

Professor Matthews is clearly very passionate about this field. Classes could be more interesting but he often tends to spend too much time explaining simple concepts, which can make the classes boring. Overall, he’s genuine and understanding, but the course didn’t provide a lot of value in my opinion. Take this if you want an easy fyse.

I had a good experience in this class. I was taught how to think critically about problems going on in our economy today and was able to connect the content well to other areas of academics. I highly recommend the class.

I really loved this class. My one complaint is that I found that Peter Matthews often went on a little too long about very simple concepts, which tended to derail the class. I went into this class expecting to be very bored every day because I had taken macro in high school but this class covered so many new interesting ways at learning macro theory with new models and many cool real world applications.
