Peter Matthews

I really loved this class. My one complaint is that I found that Peter Matthews often went on a little too long about very simple concepts, which tended to derail the class. I went into this class expecting to be very bored every day because I had taken macro in high school but this class covered so many new interesting ways at learning macro theory with new models and many cool real world applications.

Professor Matthews is great at teaching intro to macroecon. He had a deep understanding of what he was talking about in each lecuture, and was able to articulate it in a way that appealed to both econ majors and people who are interested in perusing other majors.

Professor Matthews is incredibly enthusiastic and engaging about what he teaches. He does cold call on people, which is not always great. His office hours are incredibly helpful if you need help.
