The course met 5 days per week which was annoying and had tons of homework. If you have spanish experience the material itself is very easy and simple. At times the exams were tricky and I honestly found it harder having them all be online.
I loved taking a class with prof Saldarriaga. While the course content was new to me and sometimes uncomfortable, it was clear that she was passionate about the material and drew meaningful connections from the class. We had freedom in choosing paper and project topics and there was a great mix of readings and movie screenings required to be prepared for class discussion. Overall, I would 100% take another class with her no matter the topic.

Super interesting course offering mind-altering and perspective shattering insights, Prof. Saldarriaga is SO passionate about her courses and it really shows. Even though the class was laid-back and easy (in standard terms), everyone felt compelled to do the readings and participate, and a lot of the subject matter was heavy yet a necessary experience
