Patricia Saldarriaga
SPAN
Patricia is one of my favorite professors on campus and she does an amazing job in elaborating the themes and topics of the class. She is super enthusiastic and makes the classes super interesting with constant dialogue and discussions.
I love this professor and I really enjoyed the class. I took this class primarily because I had this professor for SPAN 220 and loved her teaching style. It is movie heavy, so that takes a little bit of time but they are mostly very entertaining so it doesn't feel like much work. She doesn't do exams and doesn't like papers so the assignments were presentations and an in-class writing. A lot of the material is in English and the course material is really interesting.

I absolutely loved this course! Patricia is an amazing professor with so much knowledge and passion for decolonial theory. Her expertise in zombies made analyzing well known horror movies especially interesting and exciting and I learned so much while taking the course. Grading is mainly on participation and the final project. It is not always necessary to do all of the readings given the discussion based class time however the value increases exponentially if you put the time in to watch the movies (fun!) and do the readings.
