Matthew Kimble

Professor Kimble is hands down my favorite professor I've had thus far. He is extremely passionate about the material, and his lectures are super engaging. He connects real life stories, videos, images, and enthusiasm to his teaching points with powerpoint that are easy to follow (which he also uploads to study with and that is SUPER helpful). He cares a lot about his students and helping them succeed and is always available for extra help. The class content itself is extremely interesting, but it is fast paced. There are quizzes and exams every couple of weeks, sometimes hard questions, but generally if you stay on top of your work you will do well. Not to mention he curves really well. This class also allows you to explore your own interests in a research paper that he allows you to make the due date for. Overall, would definitely recommend both the class and definitely the professor.

Professor Kimble is very passionate about Psychology and teaches the course in a way that is interesting and engaging. There is reading assigned for every class from the textbook and some other sources, and the textbook mostly reinforces what he talks about in lectures. There are 4 quizzes (every 2 weeks), a midterm, a research paper, and a final exam. Overall, this course requires a decent amount of studying but if you apply yourself and pay attention the content is not too difficult.

Kimble is an effective teacher. The course has several quizzes during the semester which makes it easier to score well overall and prepare for the exams. The content is always explained in ways which make it easy to understand and contextualized with his life stories.
