Matthew Kimble
The class was very similar to when I took AP Psychology in high school. There were a lot of cool real-life applications to the stuff we learned in the class. This is a great class to take if you are still trying to figure out what you want to study because the stuff we learned connects nicely to other fields.
This course was amazing. Probably the most valuable and applicable course I have taken at Midd. Not only are the overarching themes very interesting and valuable, but the specificities of how this class engages with the study of resilience are amazing. Each class is taught in two seperate sections by students, which makes it very engaging. That being said, it's really nice how in this course Professor Kimble gives the students so much responsibility. He does not underestimate your intelligence, which I believe is a very useful attitude for a senior seminar.

Professor Kimble is by far my favorite professor. He is very enthusiastic, often includes student participation results (e.g. student votes for opinions, student feedbacks) and personal anecdotes in his slides, which helped me understand the concepts better. The course is a bit more difficult than what I expected from a introductory course, but it is still handleable, and I feel learning a lot from it.
