Marcos Rohena-Madrazo

Professor Rohena-Madrazo is one of the best professors on campus. His passion for the material is infectious and every class is a lot of fun. The course itself is a little tough, especially if you don't already have a background in linguistics, but still very manageable. Daily homework to keep you honest about the readings, a few papers that I found easy to write, and a couple of take home exams that weren't too difficult.

Marcos is a great teacher! As a heritage speaker, this was the first time I've had a Spanish class that felt like it suited my needs and goals. The grading is a little intense, but the workload is reasonable, and the content itself is really interesting. A challenging and fun class, I definitely recommend.

Marcos was the best Spanish teacher I've ever had! He was my first Spanish prof in college and I definitely got so lucky! Super helpful, office hours are valuable, and super kind, fun, and understanding person.
