I throughly enjoy Prof Feldman's classes she toned down the readings this semester to make them a lot more tolerable and slightly clearer, and you will group discuss them in class. Definitely a lot of group discussions of readings. Some presentations and group projects for the final that foster a lot of creativity.

I really enjoyed this class and the range of literature that we were assigned. We got to see a mix of literature, documentaries, films, and historical research articles going into depth about the political and social movements we were studying. At times, the format felt repetitive and not as productive as if it were primarily led by her. I think she could have done better in balancing how much she taught with how much was led by students, as many times I felt that the student discussions were not as fruitful. Overall though, this course helped improve my Spanish through constant exposure to material.

Madison is not a good Spanish speaker. She makes a lot of grammatical mistakes which would be acceptable for an average speaker but not for someone teaching at a college level. She does not know how to use the subjunctive and she will also not correct students when they make mistakes. Additionally, she uses false cognates in Spanish, borrowed from other romance languages. Madison is a really nice and accommodating person. She knows about the material she is teaching, however, at times it felt like the chosen readings and so on didn't really leave room for discussions, and she doesn't go much in-depth into them.
