Luis Castaneda

I felt that this professor did not have time to actually teach the students. He has students do a lot of homework but does not grade the homework or really even look at it. I am so unimpressed with this professor and this class. I think this does not live up to the standards of Middlebury's language programs at all. I really wish I had more positive things to say because in class he is enthusiastic and pleasant, I just don't really feel like I have learned much.

I really enjoyed the readings that we had for this course! I've always wanted to read more literature in Spanish and this course opened up a world of authors and literature for me to read. Luis is an amazing professor and is really understanding. 10/10 would recommend!

I loved Spanish 101 with Prof. Castaneda, he was an excellent, kind, and effective teacher. The course was extremely rewarding as well. It is not very common to see such concrete progress in such a short time and that certainly happens in Span 101.
