I really enjoyed Louisa Burnham's teaching style. She's very passionate about the topic and makes this clear to students. She's an expert on all things medieval and a lovely woman to lead a class. Additionally, she would bring in extra little show and tell objects which was cool.

This is still one of my favorite classes of all time at Midd as a senior and I took it freshman year. Burnham is super engaging and fun, the lectures were never boring. I believe this class is a bit heavy on assignments, and the grading isn't tough but it is precise (which is fair imo). There's a lot of liberty in papers and the final paper to be tailored to your specific interests, which is a great skill I developed in this class which I apply to all of my classes at Midd.

Professor Louisa Burnham is really nice and knowledgable. Taking this course is really eye-opening and interesting. Lots of reading but not really a lot of discussions required. Presentation and syllabus are really clear, quiz are chill too.
