This was an extremely challenging course to take. The responsibility of the content is completely on the student. What I mean by this and that the textbook did the teaching and questions, broad summaries were reviewed in class. The content was not taught through lecture. This meant that there was a tremendous amount of work required outside of class and most of the learning happened independently through learning. If you are a visual, aural or experiential learner Jeremy's teaching style should be avoided. He is a great person, mentor and professor for those for whom this style works. He is an awesome person to have in the bio department but has a very specific teaching style and if it does not work for you or if this does not sound like the environment you would thrive in, this class should be taken with another professor.

I enjoyed this course because it was a good review of a lot of the content in AP bio. It helped me familiarize myself with a lot of the material after not taking bio for a long time. Prof Ward is also super nice and super engaging.

This course was very interesting, especially if you are interested in how medical technology has affected our lives and the ethics behind it. The grade was composed mainly of essays and participation in class.
