Fulya Pinar
Prof Pinar is very passionate about what she teaches, but the lectures felt so repetitive because we had to do reading response posts, and she would still give us basically a summary of the readings in class, rarely added new info, and the class vibe felt like if you didnt agree with her then you were wrong. Dreaded this class.
This woman is so amazing and passionate about teaching that I would absolutely take any course with her again if I was an anthropology major or minor. The class is itself was also interesting, full of engagement from both the professor and students. It does have lots of readings, though not necessarily burdensome or overwhelming, and it does require some group work and presentations.

This course has broaden my perspective in law. I want to major in political science and it was nice to learn and interpret law through an anthropology lens. The professor is also very enthusiastic about the material and makes the class fun by incorporating the class a lot in many of the lectures. I would take this course again if I could!
