Emily Proctor

Professor Proctor is truly passionate about math, and teaches at a great pace suited for students of all different math backgrounds. I took this class as a pre-requisite for the Econ major and it definitely prepared me. Theres a lot of homework, but tests are very fair.

Professor Proctor was very generally very enthusiastic about teaching this class. She loves Math and tries to get everyone on board during her lessons. She doesn't cold call or anything but she is very lively so you're always drawn to pay attention. Her assignments are based on the lessons taught and from the textbook, so if you understand the material, it's very easy to do the assignments. Tests covered a lot of the material. Her grading was fair and she would leave cute notes in your exam to motivate and encourage you. She also tried to understand your way of arriving to your answers and that makes her class very flexible.

This course was very engaging and I enjoyed learning the topics of calculus. A decent amount of the course was reviewing pre calculus topics and the rest was new and interesting topics that were not too hard. Some exams were difficult but overall not too bad.
