Emily Proctor

Proctor is incredibly warm and kind and made the material feel super manageable. She was very clear about her expectations and clearly wanted her students to succeed/ did everything in her power to help them get there. The homework was pretty light and the exams were fairly graded and not overwhelming, we were allowed to bring a notecard with notes into each midterm.

Emily Proctor did an amazing job teaching this course. For a person who never really enjoyed math, Proctor made calculus enjoyable and engaging. The lectures are fast but she's very open to questions and is always able to explain in a way that makes sense. The homework is fairly graded, with good feedback and corrections. For exams we were given study guides with example problems and solutions, and there were seldom surprise questions. Overall, a surprisingly fun class with an understanding and passionate professor.

Professor Proctor is a great math teacher. She explains tricky subjects in ways students understand. She is also very thorough with what she writes on the board. She writes out every important step or idea in complete sentences which is very helpful for notetaking. She is great at partial credit on exams and extremely accommodating with any issues that may arise.
