Professor Munro is very dedicated to Economics. He knows a lot about the subject and we do weekly presentations where at least once you present about a recent article about Economics. The exams were fairly easy.

Prof. Munroe is an extremely enthusiastic professor with his way of teaching. We didn't have a textbook and relied mostly on his slides and course notes, while those were much more accessible compared to the majority of econ textbooks, he was still in the process of writing them back in the day, so sometimes information was incomplete. He is a good lecturer and was breaking down the information into very digestible pieces, as well as provided a bunch of examples how the information could be used, but the lectures are extremely faced paced and require to really pay attention in class. Exams are on the more difficult side, he would always introduce problems that would take a step beyond in-class things and problem sets. There was on average about one problem set per week, and they took quite a bit of time to complete. Generally a great course to start your econ journey, but it is pretty demanding.

The course was overall a decent experience. The material was generally engaging and provided a solid introduction to the subject, and the structure made it manageable to keep up with assignments. Some parts were tedious on the blackboard but the discussions and activities helped reinforce key ideas. I appreciated the effort put into the class and feel like I want to take more economics courses after this.
