Antonia Losano
If you have to take lit theory as an English major, Losano is the professor to take the class with. The material itself can be dense, confusing, and boring, but Losano is aware of this and tries her best to help engage students with the material. There are two papers and a midterm and final exam, but all are take home, and if you pay attention in class and take good notes you'll be able to succeed in this course.

This class was very challenging and including lots of reading. But Professor Losano's lectures made all the content we had read make sense. Her grading was a bit strict but fair. The exams were take home and open note, but were extremely detailed on the lectures and readings. She was a passionate and caring teacher and I found that the course applied to my other classes as well.
I love Prof. Losano! Her teaching style made what could have been a slog of theoretical readings engaging and understandable. There was a lot of reading from the anthology, but I felt they added to my knowledge, especially after her lectures so clearly explained the concepts. I feel as though I am coming away with a very deep understanding of literary theory that I will use as I continue my English major.
