Trea Sweeny

This course is extremely fun and even though it is very intense and requires endless hours in the studio, Trea is always very supportive and provides positive, but helpful critique to enahnce your design and development.

The projects were very intense and required a lot of time outside of class to complete them. The instructions also were not always super clear, so I would recommend clarification on all projects. The instructions for tools like Rhino and Adobe Softwares weren't the most effective, and I felt like I could've gained a lot more from the class if I had a more in depth understanding of those softwares. However, Trea was a great instructor, very helpful in desk crits, and gave us really interesting projects. I found her to be a very kind and effective teacher who inspired passion for architecture and ensured we applied it to real-world settings. Even though it was a struggle and finals week was really brutal, I highly enjoyed the class. Just be prepared to live in the studio.

Trea is an amazing professor and will ensure that each student has a very strong understanding of architectural design by the end of the course. It is very heavy on work outside of class, but that is to be expected with any studio course.
