Tanya Byker
Regression with Byker is a must take course if you are an econ major. Her slides and lecturing style is very engaging and also inclusive of all students. Along with that, she tells you exactly what to expect on every assignment/assessment in the course, making it very straightforward. The final project is a ton of work but can be very rewarding and enjoyable if you find the right topic. Overall, her course is a lot of work but definitely worth it.

I did not expect to like this class, but I really did. Byker is an amazing teacher and I learned a lot. For the exams I would make sure to review all of the slides that will be covered and to do the practice test. Make good use of her office hours and before exam prep times those are super helpful and occasionally you'll see one of the questions that you go over during those times on the exams.

I think this course is very interesting and honestly quite valuable. Byker is a great professor who is generally fair and accommodating. Where this class is brutal is in the volume and medium of work. Expect substantial homework in the form of weekly problem sets. There is also significant use of STATA, which is doable, but certainly not enjoyable. The coursework isn't exceptionally difficult, but it's a major time commitment.
