Although the course was definitely a lot more work than I thought it was going to be, I thoroughly enjoyed having Prof. Byker as an instructor - she is extremely knowledgable, approachable, and available to help out with any assignment. The course material itself was also very interesting. My only issue with the course was that some of the assignments felt like busy-work, but I would still definitely recommend it.

Professor Byker is a strong teacher with a fantastic grasp over the subject. She can be slightly harsh at times, but is fair and the class is quite manageable so long as you stay on top of the coursework and can handle relatively simple math. Very reasonable grader as well.

This course was hard—extremely hard—but Prof. Byker made it not as overwhelming as it could have been. I would recommend going to office hours, as the problem sets are quite difficult without adequate help. Overall, I would recommend taking Regression with Byker. It's a difficult class, but she makes it approachable and manageable.
