Steven Pecsok

Class is a very different style but also very easy. Material is not challenging but Pecsok can make it seem so. He is a very chill grader as long as you do the work. Paying attention is optional and so are most of the readings.

Professor Pecsok's teaching style can be bit jumbled and convoluted at times which can lead to simple topics being overcomplicated. Overall his lectures were fun and entertaining and he mixes in a bunch of activities and jokes to keep the class environment low stress. Weekly problem sets weren't too challenging although sometimes the material on them wasn't fully explained in class. However his office hours are a good resource for clarifying these questions and having him explain topics more clearly.

Professor Pecsok’s class was a lot more fun and interesting than I expected, thanks to his random jokes and unique way of teaching. The pacing can be a bit all over the place, but if you keep up with the textbook and weekly problem sets, you’ll be fine. He’s super approachable and great at helping you figure things out without just giving you the answers. Overall, it’s a solid intro to econ that actually feels useful in real life.
