Steven Pecsok

I really enjoyed taking Intro Micro with professor Pecsok. Such a great professor with a great personality. The course can be fast paced in class but if you go to office hours, you will be fine! He is very helpful

Interesting topic and material was interesting. Class lectures were a bit confusing, but office hours are very helpful. The homework are very valuable in terms of preparing for the exams. The exams are manageable.

Professor Pecsok teaches has an unorthodox style of teaching, which is effective for some and less effective for others, however, I still believe him to be a good teacher. The pacing in class is a little up and down which can sometimes be hard to follow, although if you keep up with the text book you hopefully won't have much trouble holding up. He is very easy to ask questions to, be it in class or in his office hours. The class gives one problem set for homework each week, which I find to be helpful to work through with either him or others in the class. If you ask for help in his office hours, he will walk you through the problem to find the answer, deepening your understanding of the problem. He won't spoon-feed you the answers, but rather push you to teach yourself by tying together concepts you already understand.
