Don't take this course with pecsok.. He really loves the material, but is not a super effective professor. You'll somehow end up with an A, but you'll be super confused. I would recommend taking it with someone else if you need to major in Econ

The class is lecture based. One problem set a week. If you kept up on problem sets and listened in class the exams were quite easy. Even if they not feel like it in the moment the grading is very kind and it is easy to get bonus points added. If you do not like cold calling and would prefer to sit in the back row this may be hard for you. It is almost definite that each class he will make you participate to ensure you are listening.

An interesting course. Quite frankly this course was way more work than it needed to be, essays due every monday and very long reading response homework questions. Exams were very difficult and the professor expected you to complete a lot of reading in addition to weekly essays and reading responses but at least the class was cool
