Shalom Goldman

I took this class with Professor Goldman, and although I know he is not here anymore, I hope the college keeps the structure he adopted for the class, where we intensively focused on bible readings. I liked exploring the religious relationship between jews and christians. I liked that our focus shifted away from politics and sociology, which is what the majority of courses at Middlebury focus on in my opinion.

Shalom was a great professor and made the material very easy to understand. Class was slow at times, but he was very passionate in the material and was always willing to make sure we understood everything.

I wish I could take many more classes with Shalom. He was a passionate teacher who tied everyday life and value to his lectures without taking away historical context and ancient validity. Sad he retired.
