Ryan Sheldon
This class was pretty easy and the Sheldon is really nice. He's not a tough grader and doesn't cold call. He gives a lot of reading, and I didn't think it was all necessary so I skipped a couple of them and was fine. He also talks like a textbook and sometimes it was hard to understand what he was trying to explain, so there would be awkward silence whenever he would ask a discussion question to us. But overall, it was a fine class and a chill pre-1800 for English majors.

Prof. Sheldon is very kind and passionate, but I find his teaching style to be lacking. He speaks like an academic text (which could be expected of a college English professor) and he is often difficult to understand. There is also a lot of reading, but it does lead to some interesting class discussion and ideas.
I felt that Professor Sheldon was extremely kind and accommodating. He allowed students as many late days as they needed for assignments as long as they talked to him before hand. There were times when some of his lectures were slightly inaccessible because his level analysis of the theory was so high. With that being said, his office hours were very beneficial and he helped students to succeed.
