Roman Graf

Course was great. Reading are not necessarily required to participate in class but a solid understanding is needed for the papers. Papers are usually a bit of a grind as they are assigned sometimes within the week they are due, sometimes only having 4 days to complete it. Professor Graf is very accommodating and overall a great person.

Professor Graf is one of the sweetest and nicest professors I have had at Middlebury. He is one gem of a professor. He is very passionate about what he teaches and knows so much about it too. However, the class was somewhat boring. There wasn't much excitement to engage in the class, but it might just be me since I'm not too interested in literature. I still learned a lot from this class. I just would have learned everything in a month instead of 3

If you get the chance, take a German class with Roman. Also, coming from German 101 this class will feel like review. While there is class four times a week, the homework does not take very long at all.
