Roman Graf

Roman, as always, was a pleasure to learn from. Although, personally, I'm not too fond of the content we were learning and honestly skipped a majority of the readings, I was able to contribute to discussions and found myself enjoying the class period. The course does require a lot of literary readings and that does require a significant time commitment but the teacher is exceptionally lenient.

I really enjoyed this course! There was consistent homework but it wasn’t too much and it was very clearly for our own benefit. There were also quizzes every two weeks or so that were pretty difficult but Roman is chill about letting us resubmit quizzes for a little grade boost.
Roman is truly wonderful, he cares and while he is easier as an instructor the way he goes on tangents help you learn better. He lets you know what to study for exams and each day you go through and review your textbook readings to ensure you fully understand. It's great for learning German and the rich history stemming from the early 1930s and on.
