Roman is so helpful, kind, and accommodating. He knows how to teach and has a genuine enthusiasm for teaching. I learned a lot about German culture and language from his recounts of his own experience in addition to the curriculum. There were a few papers, tests, and presentations throughout the semester, but for the most part, just the daily grammar and culture worksheets. Class discussions and lectures were very relaxed and interesting on a variety of topics.

I loved taking german with Roman! he's always super super helpful and makes tons of time to chat even outside of office hours. Difficult class in terms of the material, but he made it so accessible and friendly. Left having learned an absolute ton.

Roman was a good professor who was very enthusiastic considering this was primarily teaching grammar. There was a lot of homework with lengthy assignments each night as well as regular tests and papers. Very time consuming course but worth it to take upper level courses.
