An excellent course that offers students the chance to explore an era of history that isn't typically covered in courses on offer by the department. The professor is enthusiastic about the material and art history.

A really enjoyable topic, the professor is extremely enthusiastic about the material, which is fascinating and reveals a new side to art history. An excellent class for learning more about art in Northern Europe.

I love Professor Barrow!! I definitely want to take another course with her if possible. I really enjoyed this class! It is so special that my classmates and I could be educated on such a niche, under-researched topic. Barrow is very enthusiastic, which makes for a great class experience. Consistent reading, often with challenging critical theory. Group discussions once a week and then a lecture day once a week. Assessments ranged from a presentation to a visual analysis, and then the course ended with a final essay.
