If you're going through an existential crisis, or at least a little depressed, about losing your creativity, this class is for you. I came in thinking that I had a lack of creativity and that I wouldn't fare well in this course. That was not the case at all. The fact that this is most likely the only class you'll take during the J-term means that you'll have plenty of time to just ponder and whimsical, which for the majority of the term, is all the homework you have. You will most definitely unlock a level of creativity that you didn't know existed within you. That, coupled with the fact that Professor Lint is excellent, makes this a class I'd recommend to anyone

I really loved this class, one of the best classes I've taken at Middlebury. The readings are really interesting and engaging and vary from readings short stories, books, to scholarly papers. The class is discussion based and Professor Lint Sagarena always made the space feel very welcoming. There are three papers that you have to write for the class and they are very manageable.

Professor was very chill and open to all students. The class was not that hard at all and he was an easy grader. The only big project was the creation of the world but to be honest it's a creative piece so once you had an idea it wasn't that hard to produce the writing. If you can prepare in advance and do what he suggests towards brainstorming your world, you will be fine when it comes to the final project.
