Nnenna Onyima

Short-response homework before every class, two take-home assignments: one essay and one podcast. Lots of analysis of poetry and French literature. She was funny, but you better know how to say years in French.

I love professor Onyima's class, she's very enthusiastic and prepare us well for the unit tests. The content is also great. There a span of subjects from poetry to novella to film and song. We are assigned to various group projects which are all quite fun such as broadcast and presentations.

Professor Onyima is very enthusiastic and approachable. She made class very fun and engaging. There is quite a lot of work required in this class (but that will be consistent with any Midd language course). This is a writing intensive course and we had in-class essays, vocab quizzes, a project, presentation, and had to attend 5 language tables. Professor Onyima made sure everyone was well prepared for the essays and quizzes. I think the end of the year felt like she was squeezing in a ton of assignments which was a bit overwhelming, but in all I really recommend her as a professor. Bon Chance!
