Nnenna Onyima

Professor Onyima is very enthusiastic and approachable. She made class very fun and engaging. There is quite a lot of work required in this class (but that will be consistent with any Midd language course). This is a writing intensive course and we had in-class essays, vocab quizzes, a project, presentation, and had to attend 5 language tables. Professor Onyima made sure everyone was well prepared for the essays and quizzes. I think the end of the year felt like she was squeezing in a ton of assignments which was a bit overwhelming, but in all I really recommend her as a professor. Bon Chance!

This course is what you would probably expect. Homework, slideshow lectures, and speaking in class. The homework felt like it was 1 day ahead of what we were learning. We would teach ourselves then prof would ask us questions about it in class. Homework was graded on accuracy. I took french in high school and I think that this course was the right level for me.

Definitely homework heavy. 30-60 minutes of homework for every class (four days a week) and can sometimes be difficult. Also a lot of tests, about one every six classes, so definitely fast paced. Tests were mostly on vocab we went over once in class and grammar or tenses learned from the homework.
