Michael Dunham

Professor Dunham is very thoughtful about his lectures and how various students learn best. He asks for feedback on his teaching and homeworks throughout the course. The exams were difficult but fair, as the questions were creative but drew upon concepts learned in class. The readings were very interesting and the lectures and problem sets solidified my understanding of the material.

This was overall a great class. It was an important look at more advanced classical mechanics. Anyone trying to go into graduate level physics or engineering should take this class. Professor Dunham, while grading somewhat harshly in my opinion, was accommodating and had effective and worthwhile lectures.

Incredible professor. Best physics course I have ever had. The content is not hard, while it’s super interesting. The material itself could be much harder, but professor Dunham made it super manageable, which I think is the most enjoyable learning experience
