Meaghan Winder
This was a pretty average class in terms of difficulty and amount of work. Some weeks there felt like a lot more because of the homework assignments and projects, but overall there was a fair balance of assignments to what we learned in class. Professor Winder is great a adjusting curriculum to fit her class' needs.
If you have experience in the math/stat department this class is very easy and has a lot of review. There are frequent weekly assignments and intermittent projects/more like longer homework assignment (about 4 across the semester). The exam content was pretty easy and consistent with the course teaching, but grading was a bit nit picky. Meghan is so nice and a great instructor. She is very clear and accommodated a wide variety of stat experience very well. I would definitely recommend taking this course with her.

People who are going to take stats in the spring, be aware that there is a mandatory event on the symposium weekend called Data Fest that basically takes out all your weekend plans (BOTH Saturday and Sunday!). The workload that week was awful with regular hw + data fest + project + studying for stats exam on the following week. I think I spent more than 24 hrs on stats alone that week. The written exams were also extremely hard. I did so bad on the exam I don't know how I got a good grade.
