Martin Seehuus

Intro Psych with Professor Seehuus was a great class where I felt I learned a lot of useful information. The topics covered in lectures are interesting and applicable, but very fast-paced. I found exams to be quite difficult due to the fact they are multiple-choice heavy and cover a huge amount of information. Make sure to do the readings every week and be attentive to the lectures and they are manageable with a fair amount of review.

Professor Seehuus' grading was fair. The majority of our grades were made up of our weekly quiz scores. If you read and reviewed your class and reading notes, then these quizzes should've been easy for you. The semester I took this course was a larger class that consisted of 40 students. Due to this, most of the lecture consisted of direct teaching opposed to group work or class activities. Despite this, I found the course incredibly interesting.

Psych disorders is an awesome class. It is organized so that you are basically focusing on a new disorder every week. There are quizzes each Wednesday but if you attend lecture and somewhat do the readings they are not too bad. There are two short essays and one long essay, all graded fairly and in a helpful way. Seehuus is a very clear teacher and enjoyed his lectures.
