Spritzers exams have a lot of content but are very fair. As long as you take notes and review material from the slides, he gives you everything needed for the exams. They aren't easy but I learned so much in this class and found it really rewarding. Weeks with exams had more work, but most weeks I found myself spending very little time out of class on this course. I honestly can't recommend this class enough! By far my favorite class I've taken at Midd! It's so fun and relatively easy, while still feeling like you are learning a lot! Spritzer prints off the slide and in lecture you annotate the slides all together, creating detailed notes. Labs are super fun and hands on sometimes they are outside or in the lab, working with different animals (fish, squirrels, birds, rats, crayfish, etc.), and you only have to write 2 full lab reports, and then one final project where you and your lab partner design an experiment. The exams are multiple choice and discussion questions, and are relatively predictable, usually you can score pretty well on them if you review all of the slide-based notes from class. Spritzer is a great lecturer, and a really nice person who's super excited to teach about animals, but he is a little socially awkward if you go to his office hours :)
