Maggie Clinton
I took the class for the requirements but really found the material interesting. Prof Clinton cares about the subject matter and students, even bringing snacks to class sometimes. The material forced me to think, and discussions encouraged further digging into the texts. I would have enjoyed slightly more lecture and concrete content, but that might just be me.
The class meets once a week but it is also very difficult to keep track during class and not lose your train of thoughts due to how long it is. The professor is very nice and respectful although her teaching style was unhelpful in my opinion as she mostly allowed for discussions between students to take place and her lectures were less than 10 minutes of her speaking. There is one class discussion leadership that is graded and easy as well as one presentation in a group. Aside from that she asks for reading journals and 2 papers.

The readings for this course are incredibly dense, but the course meets once a week so you have time to complete them. Clinton can be a tough grader on papers and presentations, and can be a bit of a stickler. She expects a specific paper format on papers and loves historical evidence. Overall, its not a bad class. The material is interesting. But its not a gem, you have to put some work in if you want to receive a good grade.
