Lindsay Repka

Professor Repka does a great job introducing students to organic chemistry. She mitigates the fear involved with this class and makes sure everyone understands the material. Professor Fischer also does a great job teaching the lab. I had a great time in lab and really enjoyed the experiments and the chill pace of it. I would recommend taking Orgo 1 with Repka and Fischer if you want a good introduction to Orgo.

Repka had take-home exams which were fairly graded and reflected what we learned in class, but her lectures were straight off notes and not super engaging. She was more than happy to help if you were confused, but attending her office hours was required in order to get that extra attention. Logan Fischer taught the lab section and made this class 100x more fun and understandable. Would take any class with him again.

Repka is a really nice professor and will help you if you go to her office hours. Her exams and homework are tough compared to what is done in class, but office hours and TA hours are really helpful! It's orgo, so it's a difficult class but it is definitely manageable if you put in effort it is very possible to get an A.
